Added to the CALIcon agenda: Gadget Garage! and Drupal for Law Schools
Folks,
I've added a couple of lunch time meetings/get togethers to the
CALIcon11 agenda. On Thursday it's the Gadget Garage![1], an
opportunity to show off and see some of the latest toys in the tech
world. Then on Friday it's Drupal for Law Schools[2], a meeting to
kick start a project to create a Drupal distribution designed
specifically for law schools.
Thanks,
Elmer.

Drupal for Law Schools
Good morning.
This is belated follow up to the discussion we had at CALIcon11 about
creating a Drupal distribution that could be used as a starting point
for law schools who want to move to Drupal.
As a first step, I wanted to put together a list of folks interested
in working on this. If you are interested in Drupal for Law Schools,
drop me a note with your email address. I've set up some space for use
to start work and I'll use your note to give you access to the space.
Next we should update the list of law schools using Drupal that is on
the Teknoids website at http://tinyurl.com/3qm44dt. The best way to do
that given the draconian access measures imposed by the webmaster is
to send me links to law school sites using Drupal and I'll do the
updating.
That's all for now.
Elmer.
Drupal for Law Schools
Elmer,
I'd be interested in this. I'm pretty sure that we're already on the list of Drupal sites (http://www.fcsl.edu/). Though I'm new to building any sort of Drupal distribution, I could at least throw in my two cents.
Thanks!

Drupal for Law Schools
Hello, Elmer, http://law.newark.rutgers.edu runs on Drupal 5, in the
process of upgrading to 7. Since we hired out the original
implementation and the upgrade, I don't know how much of a contribution
I can make to a group design/programming effort, but I'd be willing to
help in any way I can. I did create the IPE registration pages, dumping
html code into a block on a preformatted page view, and I've done minor
changes in CSS and php files where our contractors had hardcoded stuff
that should have been more flexible, but that's about it.
Best,
Karen

In addition to my low-rent Android tablet, I will bring a Samsung 5
Chromebook. Interesting device - I hope to get a review written shortly,
but also need to do regular work and prepare my CALI talk. See everyone
