"Archiving" Exchange 2003 public folder calendars
We're getting an error "Not enough memory to perform the operation" when
using Outlook to schedule a recurring appointment on a public folder
calendar used to schedule our Circ desk. The error is supposedly fixed
by an old KB (892524) per MS. I've checked that the files on the
Exchange server are newer than the ones documented in the KB so that's
no help.
Now I'm trying to figure out Plan B. Seems like archiving the folder to
pre-some date would work; they want to keep their old schedule (don't
ask me why) so I can't just delete it. Plus, 90% of the Circ schedule
for this semester was inputted so creating a new folder isn't an option
either. However, there doesn't appear to be an "archive" option for
public folders. I can't figure out what else to do. They don't want to
manually delete old stuff or recreate what they've already done (can't
blame them there). Anyone have suggestions?
Thanks

RE: "Archiving" Exchange 2003 public folder calendars
One more suggestion Cyndi. Can you create another data store and then create
another public folder store. You will need the enterprise version for this to
run multiple stores.
Good luck hope all turns out ok..

epublishing tools
I vaguely remember that some time ago there was a discussion of various tools to publish law journals. Can somebody refer me to the thread or is the archives publicly available to search? Or you can email me personally at don.zhou@wmitchell.edu if you are using one? Thanks.

RE: epublishing tools
Don,
This list is archived on www.teknoids.net, and the easiest way to search it is to go to http://google.com and search for "site:teknoids.net " (without the quotes), so a search for the content you are looking for could be "site:teknoids.net publish law journal" and that would give you 6 results on Teknoids.net.

RE: "Archiving" Exchange 2003 public folder calendars
Cyndi export the calendar to a PST file. Then delete the offending calendar
in public folders. Recreate the calendar and re-import from the previous
pst. I am giving you this idea as a suggestion. I haven't experienced what
you are experiencing. I know you can export the calendar to a PST file then
re-import it.

Follow Mr. Perna's suggestion, except the re-importing. Access the archived calendar, change current view to all appointments, select all the appointments you want in the recreated calendar and do a copy and paste to recreated calendar.

There is a limit on public folder store of 16gb. This is for the standard
version. The enterprise version is limitless (well MS says 35gb could cause
performance issues). On the Public folder store. I run the Enterprise
version.
