CALI Webinars: Using the Legal Education Commons

Folks,
We're launching a webinar series and would like teknoids to get
involved. Every couple of weeks, CALI will host a free online
presentation on a subject related to technology and innovation in
legal education aimed at law school faculty and staff.

We will focus on "how-to" introductory topics with the hope that you
will learn something you can immediately apply. We'll be encouraging
audience participation during and after the sessions, so be sure to
bring questions and ideas.

We're kicking off with 2 sessions that provide an introduction to the
Legal Education Commons, http://www.cali.org/lec on Friday, Feb 20,
3:00-3:30pm EDT and Friday, Feb 27, 3:00-3:30pm EDT

Please visit http://tinyurl.com/brdr8m for details and to sign up for
these sessions. You can also visit our shiny new CALI Events calendar
at http://www.cali.org/events for the latest schedules.

Finally, we would also like to invite topic suggestions. Topics only
must relate in some way to using innovation in legal education and
need not have anything to do with CALI. Email agroothuis@cali.org with
your ideas. We may even ask you to present.

Thanks,
Elmer.

Question re vendor-serviced copiers/scanners

New England Law has a vendor (Conway) who supplies and maintains the copiers in the law library. We would like some of the student copiers to allow scanning to pdf and email, but Conway is unwilling to provide anything beyond the plain vanilla versions we have.

Is anyone vending "smart" copiers?
