Position available -- Instructional Technology Specialist -- Widener Law School

Widener University, an independent, metropolitan doctoral-intensive
teaching institution, invites nominations and applications for the
position of Instructional Technology Specialist on the Wilmington,
Delaware campus of the Legal Information Center. The Legal Information
Center is unique to legal education with its complete integration of
its Wilmington, Delaware and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania branches.
Resource sharing between both campuses occurs at all operational
levels with advanced communication systems permitting total linkage

The Instructional Technology Specialist is expected to be a dynamic
individual who possesses superior skills in the knowledge and use of
educational technology to support the educational/instructional work
of our faculty, librarians, students and staff. This position is an
active participant in strategic planning as it concerns the
acquisition and use of technology throughout the Law School. In
accomplishing these duties, the Instructional Technology Specialist
will work cooperatively with various Law School committees on
technology matters and the Information Technology Services department
(ITS). The Instruction Technology Specialist will be expected to work
closely, often one on one, with faculty, librarians, administrators
and students. This position travels weekly between our Wilmington,
Delaware and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania campus and a valid driver's
license is required and travel expenses are compensated.

The Instructional Technology Specialist must have a bachelor's degree
from an accredited college / university in instructional technology,
technical communication, educational technology or related field and
1-3 years of relevant experience. The preferred candidate will have a
juris doctorate degree with prior experience in a law school
institution.
