Fire suppression in Server RoomsSubmitted by Jeanne Eicks on Fri, 01/27/2006 - 9:35am.
Good Friday to everyone! For those of you with dedicated server rooms, I'd like to know what type of fire suppression systems you use and why you chose that type. Vermont Law School is in the process of attempting to justify the cost difference between a preaction system and an Inergen system. The question has become one of business continuity. If we opted for the Inergen system, would we gain significant business continuity (assuming no other mitigating DR systems are in place)? While I hope no one on this list has had the unfortunate experience of having a fire suppression system go off in their server room, I'd most like to hear from anyone who has had such a disaster. Thank you in advance for any information you can offer. Jeanne Eicks previous forum topic | next forum topic | 5847 reads
