Friday Fun: Something a little different

Submitted by elmer on Fri, 09/01/2006 - 8:36am.

Yes, there are a bunch of fun videos I could include in this space, but I'm going for something else to ease those of us still at the wheel this Friday into the long weekend.

Our friend John Mayer is getting married on Sunday (September 3, 2006). His fiancée and soon to be spouse Jane McBride is president of Illinois Humane, an animal advocacy organization doing great work in Illinois and beyond (http://www.illinoishumane.org/). To help celebrate John and Jane's wedding, I thought teknoids out there might want to consider a donation to Illinois Humane, to help them help our furry friends. Illinois Humane's mailing address is: PO Box 3364, Springfield, IL 62708.

Disclaimer: Current pet count at the Masters household is 6 cats, 2 mice, and a betta fish named Friskie, so we're a bit pre-disposed to this cause:)

Thanks, and have a great long weekend.

am looking for some images that could be part of a poster on the
theme of "law in a digital world." I thought some of you might have
some favorite items you may have collected or come across (other than
porn, please). If you have some links or can send me something, I'd
be grateful. Colorful and imaginative preferred over scales,
courthouses, ipods, etc. but anything welcome.

I'm fond of these, from the Debian Lex distribution project that never
got off the ground.

There is also an XCF version of the latter downloadable from this page, < href="http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-lex/">http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-lex/>,
under the "What can I do to help" subheading. That might be handy for
making an enlargement if you needed to. I think I might be able to put you in
touch with the artist if need be.
