On this very day, Friday, September 8, 1966, Star Trek premiered on NBC.
There is lots more about all things Trek at www.startrek.com especially
information on the release of the new digitally re-mastered episodes of
the original series.
And what about Star Trek memories? I remember watching the original
series on Friday nights at my Grandma's house and seeing Star Trek III:
The Search for Spock with about 2,000 other fans on opening night at the
last of the big movie theaters back home. I stood in line for about an
hour to get in and when we came out the line for the next show was even
longer.
