Teknoids

Folks:

It's time to pick out a foolproof digital camera for a relative. Any
recommendations? I confess I've been delighted with my Sony DSC-N1
(compact, high-quality, got some good shots with it) and I don't think
it or its successors are all that tough for a novice, but perhaps some
of you know of something that will turn Grandma into Atget or Adams or
Gordon Parks or whoever.
