After eight and a half years in law school IT, I am quite literally
moving on to greener pastures. Next week I will start a new career as an
Assistant Golf Professional at a local golf/ski resort. If I can figure
out the golf instruction equivalent of "have you tried turning it off
and on again?" then I will be on the cover of Golf Digest in no time.

This pivotal position is designed and dedicated to cultivating
technology use by the faculty for instructional and research purposes.
The individual in this position will work directly with law faculty in
their use of technology for instruction and research, providing
training, developing useful applications, and encouraging new
technologies. The successful candidate should possess or be able to
develop substantive knowledge of law and legal education as well as
provide technological expertise. Essential emphasis will also be on
provision of outstanding customer service to instructional faculty members.
Description:
Define user system requirements and translate into computer and related
manual specifications. Act as project manager. Confer with user
management to analyze and document system needs. Conduct feasibility
studies. Evaluate alternatives, and design specifications. Determine
priorities of projects. Some positions may supervise and evaluate the
work of lower-level programmers. To be competitive, applicants should
have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and extensive
system analysis/project leader experience.
