Deb suggested I email you to see if you
knew anyone for 2 Taxonomy Consultant positions we have for Dow Jones. The work
can be done by telecommuting although they would have to go into either the San Francisco or Chicago
office for training and some meetings. Here’s the job description:

Patty
LAC seeks two (2) Taxonomy Consultants for our client. The consultants
will play a large role in the support and delivery of Taxonomy Services for the
firm’s customers. In addition, the consultants will help find new revenue
opportunities both outside of and with existing clients. Our ideal candidate
will have strong knowledge and experience in taxonomies, software, and services;
strong analytical ability, ability to give strategic advice; excellent sales
skills. The consultants will need to need to be able to go to client’s San Francisco or Chicago
office for training and meetings, otherwise, the work can be done via
telecommuting.
Responsibilities
- Help clients build and maintain
taxonomies and provide best-practice advice on taxonomy ownership,
implementation and maintenance;
- Manage the day to day business
relationship with assigned taxonomies accounts in order to retain and grow
existing business;
- Help clients understand the
benefits of taxonomy training sessions and ensure customer issues are
addressed in a timely manner;
- Proactively identify
opportunities for increasing revenue outside of and within existing
customer base;
- Work with the Director of
Taxonomy Services and assist when required on occasional projects to
investigate new areas of taxonomy services business potential;
- Perform additional duties as
needed or requested.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years
experience in sales or sales support of online information and/or related
high value technology products and services;
- Minimum five years of expertise
and experience in editorial and taxonomy services, application and
maintenance;
- Degree level education,
required;
- Familiarity with taxonomy
management and/or indexing software applications desirable;
- Excellent
organizational/project management skills;
- Strong interpersonal,
communication and presentation skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Adaptability;
- Self-motivation, confidence,
team-player ability;
- Knowledge of additional
languages desirable;
