What are you using to back up student files?

Hello,

Has anyone signed up with Sugarsync (www.sugarsync.com) to
provide students with a way to back up their files online?  If so, would
you recommend this service?  If not, do you use a different product to
provide this service or do you allow students to back up their files to
in-house servers?

Thank you.

Another backup system that I’ve
been using successfully on Windows, Mac and Linux computers is call “CrashPlan”
http://crashplan.com/  It allows you
to back both locally (on your LAN) and remotely (over the internet) using either
their backup service, or to another PC.  Client Licenses are $20. To
backup to another computer you have control of is free (either on your LAN or
over the internet).  Backup to their internet based service is $5 per
month (same as Mozy). All backups are encrypted before leaving your computer.
