The University
of Illinois College of Law invites applications for a full-time position of Web
Specialist. This 12-month, Academic Professional position reports
directly to the College's Director of Information Services.
The Web
Specialist writes, develops, documents, and updates Web-based programming for
the College of Law. The Specialist works as part of the Information
Services team; serves as the Webmaster; and maintains the College’s Web
site including handling updates, support, and trouble shooting. The Web
Specialist assists in the architectural development and coding to improve
functionality and appearance of the existing and developing Web sites.
The
position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years proven
experience in a related field as well as demonstrated experience in Web site
coding, writing documentation, and providing Web-based content. Web
programming skills, especially in CSS, HTML, ASP, and JavaScript are
necessary. Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, and video/audio
streaming is desirable. The Web Specialist must have a strong customer
service attitude, ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, and good
problem-solving and communications skills. A special emphasis will be
placed on marketing-related Web applications.

competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. To
