ScanSnap in the classroom?Submitted by Joseph Bazan on Wed, 06/18/2008 - 4:45pm.
To all of you ScanSnap worshipers: I am trying to incorporate using a document scanner like ScanSnap into my curriculum as the lawyers in Minnesota, and I presume your areas, are buying ScanSnaps as fast as they can be manufactured to eliminate paper at the law office. I’d like to get this little machine into my school’s Law Office Technology course. Is there any other software besides Acrobat that will work automatically with ScanSnap Manager? Anyone use CutePDF Pro with the ScanSnap manager? Because more of us are using this in our offices, I have some preliminary approval to make my school shell out some bucks to make my classroom a laboratory to see if the ScanSnap should be included as a formal objective in our Law Office Technology course. I can make those classes work even if the machine is hooked up to only one computer and has only one license for the software, but I'd like to see if I can expand it, legally, without having to purchase a boatload of licenses and machines. Any thoughts about using this in a paralegal classroom would be most helpful. And thank you! Joseph R Bazan, JD Legal Minnesota 1201 Waite jbazan@msbcollege.edu (320)
