 <title>TECHNOLOGY LIBRARIAN (RUTGERS-NEWARK LAW)</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The Rutgers University Library for the Center for Law and Justice, in Newark, N.J.,  is seeking a  Technology Librarian.   The Library for the Center for Law and Justice is a research library with a collection of over 500,000 volumes and volume-equivalents, and a staff of 18, including 8  librarians with faculty status.  The Library spends about  $650,000 per year for books, serials and electronic resources. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Responsibilities: The Technology Librarian has primary responsibility for the design, administration and enhancement of the library’s automated system and associated technologies.   The position reports to the Head of Technical and Automated Services.&lt;br /&gt;
The Technology Librarian oversees and optimizes the use of all modules of the integrated system, including acquisitions, serials control, circulation, and cataloging.  The Technology Librarian reviews and proposes revisions to system options, codes, and defaults, and to procedures for system use; prepares procedures manuals and training materials, and provides training; monitors system status, and corrects malfunctions; plans for and implements system upgrades and additional functions; investigates, recommends, and implements emerging technologies to operate  with the Innovative system; plans and implements database cleanups and retrospective database modifications; manages licenses for electronic resources; and integrates licensed electronic resources with the Innovative Interfaces system; and performs other duties as needed.&lt;/p&gt;
